What’s up everyone, welcome back again to another Friday Fuel edition of the Life Outside the Hustle podcast. Today’s topic….addiction. But not just any addiction. Our addiction to being busy. Our addiction to more things. Our addiction to things that don’t matter. This includes physical products or material items. But it also includes our addiction to having to be in a constant state of motion. We’re addicted to constantly doing things. When is the last time you actually sat down, without your phone, and did nothing? Actually allowed yourself to be bored? This doesn’t mean you need to be in some Zen state of meditation or awareness. But when is the last time you both turned off the external stimulus and the internal action at the same time. When was the last time you simply sat alone and did nothing?
I would argue that most of our busy-ness is actually our addiction to action. Our addiction to things that in the grand scheme of things don’t actually mean anything. So, why do we have this addiction to more. This addiction to constantly doing more and having more?
